An ice cream healthier than your protein shake?
The most gourmet ice cream you'll ever have is actually good for you...
Hey there!
Welcome back to Three Buck Suppers: $3 meals, under 15 minutes, and yes they’re absolutely delicious.
I just discovered how to make $8 premium ice cream for $2.99 - and it tastes better than anything in stores.
When I first tried this, I was seriously, seriously shocked. It tasted nothing like store-bought ice cream, but was straight-up gourmet ice cream parlor quality, like something you'd get at Disneyworld (you know the place at the front of Magic Kingdom?).
And here's the crazy part: it costs under $3 and packs 39g of protein.
Our premium subscribers gave this recipe an average of 9.2/10, and after you try it, you'll understand why.

The Secret: It ONLY Works With a Ninja Creami
Here's the thing about this recipe that makes it so good: the Ninja Creami's is able to transform what would normally be a dense, frozen block into incredibly smooth, creamy ice cream that rivals anything you'd pay $8+ for at the store. The texture is just so euphorically smooth.
Traditional ice cream makers require you to churn while freezing, usually taking ~4 hours. Fortunately, the Ninja Creami freezes your base solid, then uses precision blades to shave and cream it into perfection (in about 15 seconds). That's why this recipe works so well!
And right now, Amazon has the Ninja Creami at 16% off, but this deal’s only lasting 48 hours.

The $2.99 Gourmet Vanilla Recipe
Ingredients (Serves 1, about $2.99 each)
Ingredient | Amount | Est. Cost* |
3 large | $1.00 | |
1 cup | $1.28 | |
½ cup | $0.20 | |
1-2 Tbsp | $0.15 | |
1 tsp | $0.35 | |
Salt | Pinch | $0.01 |
Method
Combine wet ingredients. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, evaporated milk, and whole milk until completely smooth.
Add dry ingredients. Whisk in powdered milk, vanilla extract, and salt until no lumps remain.
Pour and freeze. Transfer mixture to your Ninja Creami pint container and freeze for at least 3 hours (24 hours is ideal for best texture).
Process in Ninja Creami. Remove from the freezer and process using the "Ice Cream" setting. If texture appears crumbly, use the "Re-spin" function until smooth and creamy.
Serve immediately. Scoop and enjoy your Disney-quality ice cream that cost under $3 to make!
Tips
• Freeze time matters. While 3 hours is the minimum, 24 hours gives you that perfect scoopable texture that feels like premium ice cream. Just make it the day before!
• Re-spin is your friend. Don't worry if it looks crumbly after the first spin. Hit re-spin once or twice until you get that perfect creamy consistency (but don’t overdo it or it’ll turn into a milkshake).
• Make it yours. Once you master this base, you can add mix-ins like chocolate chips, fruit, or cookie pieces using the Ninja Creami's mix-in function.
